I know its old-fashioned but, you know what? I’ve never liked the eco wool. And steel mesh? I haven’t seen one of those for months now. That’s for cave men.
Nic level? Three milligrams. And, let’s go for organic kosher shazamazam – it’s a bit like the grape candy you can get in Korea, if you’ve ever had that.

Any idea? That’s vape talk – the new vocabulary that surrounds e-cigarettes. There’s a whole new subculture.”

CNBC Report by Kate Rogers – “More Smokers, Hoping to Quit, Turn to Vaporizers”

A recent report by Kate Rogers for CNBC, states that “This year, the retail vaping industry is forecast to reach $3.5 billion, more than twice the $1.7 billion estimate for 2013, according to Bonnie Herzog, Wells Fargo Securities’ senior tobacco and beverage analyst.”  Ms. Rogers states that “even though regulatory hurdles remain, curious consumers are pushing vaping’s growth.”

Pleasant Ecigs at Shem Creek – Vaping makes its way into a SC Correctional Facility!

We just came across an article about Darlington County Detention Center allowing their inmates to purchase and use ecigs during their jail stay. The ecig sold in the facility is specially designed for sale in correctional facilities – made out of materials that cannot be used to make a weapon or start a fire.  Preventing nicotine withdrawal helps keep the inmates calm, but that was not the driving force behind the decision.  Interesting read!  Click here for the whole article written by Traci Bridges on SCnow.com.

Policy makers Calling for Ban on E-liquid Flavorings

A growing number of policy makers, including some senators, are calling for a ban on e-cigarette flavorings in order to make them less appealing to kids. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn. is one of the most outspoken on the issue. “I think flavors ought to be banned,” Blumenthal told U.S. News.
“There may be a handful of adults who like bubble gum-flavored e-cigarettes, but the overwhelming purpose,” he said, “is to appeal to kids.” But a new survey at E-Cigarette Forum of 10,000 adult vapers, showed that 74.4% of adult vapers preferred fruit or dessert flavors for their juice!

Gregory Conley, legislative director of the Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free Alternatives Association, told U.S. News “When people want to quit smoking, a lot of times they don’t want to be reminded of what a cigarette tastes like” “If I was restricted to a tobacco flavor and a menthol flavor and Senator Blumenthal – or the FDA – got flavored electronic cigarettes banned, I would still be smoking.”

Many opponents of the e-cig industry have stated that the e-cigarette producers make their fruit and dessert flavored juices with the sole purpose of marketing e-cigs to children. But this study shows that the majority of adult vapers prefer those flavors. So you cannot automatically assume that a company that produces flavored products is trying to lure children into the vaping world.
